Cosmic corruptor Nemesis

Production Cosmic Corruptor Mushi – Red Orange with purple paint applications. Insect Warrior plus Mantis head, godbeast wings and 2 Glyos pins. 18 total parts, green, purple and blue paints on red plastic.
Tiny Mushi not included, but he is so cute!

I really like this sculpt because it really lends itself to reconfiguration and is just so pretty on it’s own. Pulling it apart and adding to the big Mushi works well, as does to bog-nar, given the planty-thorny-fishy theme. The wings suit it fine, to boot.
This guy looks much less “musclebound” than his Mushi counterpart, and that lean style lends them in my mind to a strange Abbott and Costello vibe. I can almost hear the clicky mouth parts chitter some cute banter as they slowly pick and chew the flesh from a newly fallen foe.
These guys make me want a sleestak in Glyos format, for some reason.
My storage bin is just right for my current needs, with them separated by colorway or “special” theme. I may have to come up with some other form of sorting them out in future, though. How, I am not sure, short of building default sculpts, and keeping accessories / heads/ switch pins in a different bag, or some lego-like breakdown just of size or vague shape? How do the superfans with whole toolboxes and rooms do it? By company, or sculpt?

May 31 2020

It’s always nice to be reminded that police are more interested in spreading violence against unarmed protestors than in trying to correct their own institutional flaws. Pushing and shoving. Running people down on horseback and in cars.

I dislike police in general. I know some decent individuals who happen to be police and can only hope that their decency isn’t eroded by a profession that protects murderers and rapists and thieves and lesser forms of tinpot tyranny. My more realistic side isn’t holding my breath.

As a privileged white male I don’t have as much cause to fear them as a clear and present peril to my life, but I’m aware, with each unjustified act that they take, punished or much more often unpunished, that none of us is totally safe from being snuffed out at a moment’s notice by a lawless gang that regularly gets away with cowardly murder. Or rape. Or destroying people’s livelihoods on a whim. Or because they burn plants. Or because they match a description. Or because they’re at home and a SWAT team has the wrong address. Or because they’re having a bad day and dig up any number of rules and regs that are often left unnoticed.

Never mind that there are far bigger criminals who do their lawless deeds in the light of day. One of them likes to urge people to hurt our fellow citizens and threaten them with weapons and death. One who has made it ok for “fine people” to openly hate again. One who urged compromise to armed protestors who are sick of the privations caused by this pandemic that is still killing people and crippling our economy, and swift punishment to unarmed people who are tired of watching people be killed for the crime of being black at the wrong place and time. Our president, duly elected, is openly rooting for violence against his own citizens. And too many people are just fine with that.

More in the “grape soda” vein. Gendrone Alliance Operative Vector Jump Production Knight. PVC Armor. Gendrone Alliance Operative. 3 3/4″ tall. Limited Edition. Onell Design Wave 67 Exclusive. 17 total parts. This is my only glyos from the Knights of the Slice school, but I understand that since it was produced directly from Onell rather than Toy Pizza, so the more esoteric accessories like the Pizza Slicer hand or capsule carrier were not a part of this build. The backpack opens to show an interior with a mold of some goodies inside. The armor kind of pressure clamps onto the shoulders, without the use of pegs, and I wonder how well they would hang on over time. I assume it will, since I got it in an open lot, and it was originally produced in 2017. Hanging out with him is the grape gobon, just lounging in horse stance or sumo leg mode. The realistic sort of sculpt is popular with many folks, but I have a very soft spot for the more whimsical, robotic or alien kind of style. I may end up passing the Vector guy along to a more appreciative collector in exchange for a Cthuloid bio-beast or a battle tribes hamburger-headed wrestler. #toypizza #kots #onelldesign #glyos #Toyphotography #glyosbuild #gendronealliance
